Rising sales of PSP and Nintendo DS games helped push the video game industry to a record $10.5 billion in sales in 2005. Sales of hardware, software and accessories rose 6 percent last year, helped by a 42 percent gain in software for portable devices, according to the NPD Group. Xbox, PS2 and GameCube games fell 12 percent. [via Kotaku]
