According to Hwang Chang Gyu, head of the semiconductors at Samsung, Sony has told its manufacturing partners that it will ship 20 million PSPs in 2006. Samsung supplies the NAND memory used in the PSP. Sony shipped over 10 million PSP units in 2005, although the portable wasn't available worldwide until the Sept. 1 European launch.
