That is one beefy update. That's half the included memory stick, pretty unacceptable.

yea but you can delete it after you update it so its not a big deal for those who are going to update.

i dont have a wireless router so I downloaded it from the link on this site and tried running it on my psp (i put it in the games folder) but when i tried running it, it gave me a error and wouldn't run. and I read around to find out this is just a security fix for those who are wondering whats on it.. u wont notice anything different, supposed to be the same one as the jap update.

It says it adds revisions to strengthen security but I haven't installed it.

I'm not going to install this. If it ain't broke, why fix it. Anyways this might eliminate any chances of homebrew/emulator stuff on my psp.

When you boot after putting it on the memory sticfk, does it flash the eprom in the PSP or something like that? The "computer" d/l link is only the eboot.pbp, and no readme. Obviously it's lame to have 14MB sitting permanently on a 32MB memory stick!! Flash/delete is the way to go... I'm assuming Sony was smart enough to implement this. -Pie

once your done updating the psp u can remove the 14mb installation file. oh yeah in order to update the psp u must have it pluged up to the ac adapter.

Mamalayy: true, but in the future somebody might find a flaw in 1.5. With that in mind I don't want to upgrade if I don't have to just yet. my 2 cents.
