Online gadget magazine T3 has posted a face-off between the PSP and the DS. The review compares the two machines in several areas including Graphics, Controls, Battery Life, and Games. Although the article is meant to be partisan, it more or less turns into a DS-bashing session, which is inevitable when comparing two machines that aren't necessarily meant to be compared. The PSP wins almost every category, with the exception of build and battery life—and even then the author mentions a caveat with the DS's battery: using the stylus for that period of time would more than likely cause your hand to cramp.
"Play the PSP on the train and you feel like the king of cool. It’s a sexy looking piece of kit guaranteed to get you noticed for all the right reasons. The DS, on the other hand, makes you look like a geek. For starters it’s a cheap-looking clunky silver brick rather than a slick gadget, and while the touch-screen makes for innovative gameplay, you can’t help feeling stupid waggling the stylus or blowing on the mic in public."
I couldn't have said it better myself.
