Sony said today that the company may outsource production of the PSP to China or Taiwan in order to meet rising demand for the device.
"We're not prepared to start selling in Europe, we've run out of units in the U.S., and it's still selling well in Japan," said Ken Kutaragi, president of Sony Computer Entertainment.
Sony, which currently makes PSP at its own plant in Japan, said in February that it was seeking to more than double monthly production of the PSP by summer to two million units.
