ipod-v-psp-120.jpgSince last week’s announcement of the new iPod, we’ve been anxious to get our hands on one and compare it to our favorite portable gaming machine. We will be posting a comprehensive comparison of the two devices, including battery and video testing, later tonight — but for now, check out our initial impressions and photo gallery.

Initial Impressions
We found the initial impression of the iPod to be quite nice. The screen on the new iPod is noticeably brighter than the screen on the PSP, and seems a bit more crisp in the menus. The new 30GB iPod is also just as thin, if not more-so, than the PSP - a change from the last models. The screen really has us impressed — we’re excited to get a chance for a side-by-side comparison of the screens in action later once both devices are charged up, but in the meantime below is a small photo gallery to pass the time.
