PSP-dev today released a hack that allows homebrew to be run on firmware v1.5 North American PSPs. The software hack requires two Memory Stick Duos (swapping between them is required) but allows the various emulators and programs released for the Japanese PSPs with v1.0 of the firmware to be run on v1.5 PSPs. PSPhacker has a nice list of programs available.
