Today's USA Today contains an article on the possible shift in focus Sony's new CEO could bring with him. The article discusses in depth Sony's fiscal troubles from recent years. Stringer pledged to make Sony "the strongest electronics, entertainment and technology company it can be" in a recent email to employees. According to the article, the areas that the company needs to focus on are: Digital Music Players, Televisions, Digital Photography, and Portable Devices. The PSP is mentioned several times as a key component to Sony's fight to right the ship. Surprisingly, it isn't mentioned at all as a music player, but instead under the general portable category.
