Will Lumines Release As A Sony PS Vita Launch Game

Lumines, for those who remember, was the highlight of the launch of the original Sony PlayStation Portable. Lumines was to the Sony PSP what Tetris was to the Nintendo GameBoy back in the day. There have been many questions as of late though if the franchise would make it for the launch of the Sony PS Vita, that question has been answered.

Lumines stood above all other titles when the Sony PSP released, and gamers around the world have been hoping that it would do the same on the Sony PS Vita.

The PS Vita already has a very strong launch line-up, with games such as Uncharted Golden Abyss clearly leading the charge.

There is always a desire with handheld gamers though to have a casual, puzzle-type experience for on-the-go, simple gaming.

That is what Lumines delivered at the Sony PSP launch, and it is set to do it again on the Sony PS Vita.

Q Entertainment, the company behind the upcoming Lumines Electronic Symphony, has confirmed that the game will be a launch release on the Sony PS Vita.

Q Entertainment Producer James Mielke wrote on Twitter, "Off to the airport, back to Japan. LUMINES Electronic Symphony for PS VITA streets on February 22, 2012. Get your wishlist on."

This is fantastic news, and shows that the Sony PS Vita launch just got bolstered yet again with another quality release.
