Sony is pushing the launch of the next-generation PS Vita and appears to be doing a very good job of creating an intense level of hype in the U.S.

The latest push by Sony is making a way for gamers to be able to actually play the Sony PS Vita whenever they choose, before launch.

Sony has partnered up with the gaming retail giant GameStop to make this a possibility. Sony representatives have been arrivin in GameStop retail locations across the U.S. to deliver demo units of the Sony PS Vita.

These demo units have been placed in over 3,300 GameStop retail locations scattered across the U.S. making it very easy for gamers to play a PS Vita and try it out first-hand.

We have gone to a local GameStop and were very impressed with the whole presentation of the PS Vita at the retail store.

The demo unit of the PS Vita at GameStop allows you to play a variety of games.

The games which work on the demo unit of the PS Vita include Wipeout, Escape Plan, Little Deviants, Uncharted Golden Abyss, ModNation Racers, FIFA Soccer, Hot Shots Golf, and Virtua Tennis 4.

These are a nice variety of games to allow gamers who enjoy all types of games to experience something they may enjoy on PS Vita launch day.

The launch of the PS Vita is closing in as the next-generation handheld is set to hit retail stores in the U.S. on February 15th for those who pre-ordered it.

Those who did not pre-order a PS Vita will be able to pick up the handheld in retail stores on February 22nd.

Gamers will have to choose on launch day between the $249 Wi-Fi only version, of the 3G-enabled version which will retail for $299 and work via an AT&T data plan.
