Watch Battlestar Galactica, The Office on your PSP

If you have a television addiction like we do, you probably wish you could take your favorite shows with you at all times. Well thanks to a recent agreement between Sony and Universal, now you can. The media giant will be releasing some of its massive TV and film catalog directly onto the Playstation Store, which means that you will be able to download movies like the 40 Year Old Virgin and complete seasons of TV shows like The Office and Battlestar Galactica. High-definition versions will be available for the PS3, while the PSP will be able to benefit from standard definition downloads. Also available are 30 Rock, Eureka and Heroes.

For the moment there are a few problems with the service. For one, the downloads are only available in the United States, leaving European or Canadian customers out of luck. Secondly, we are still a bit put off by the pricing. A standard movie download will set you back $9.99, while TV episodes go for $1.99. With the price starting to add up for an entire season (or multiple seasons) of episodes that can only be viewed on one device, we have to say that the DVD option looks more appealing.

Sony says that new episodes will be added to the service the day after they air, in both HD and standard definitions.
