Transformers: The Game coming to PSP

Yes you heard right. Based on TRANSFORMERS, DreamWorks Pictures and Paramount Pictures upcoming live-action feature film due out July 4th, and produced in association with Hasbro, TRANSFORMERS: The Game will be winging its way to a PSP store near you this Summer.

The game will follow the movie storyline very closely, and will give you the opportunity to play as either the Autobots or the Decepticons.

For PSP, game developers Savage are currently building the game. Apparently, the PSP version will have 20 playable Autobots and Decepticons. It will also extend the story telling within the game, with special details revealed to PSP owners, along with bot customization and ad hoc/ infrastructure multiplayer modes).

Exact details of the combat mechanics still aren’t very clear at this time, but the weight and scale of your character is taken into consideration and affects the game accordingly. Fans of the original animation will be pleased to know that among the confirmed playable characters will be some old favourites such as, Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Bumblebee, and Ironhide.
