Tenchu 4 Coming in February

To Japan, that is. The ninja stealth game will be released in Japan on February 12. Tenchu 4 is actually a port of the recent Wii title called Tenchu: Shadow Assassins.

Tenchu: Shadow Assassins uses the Wii remote to control fighting, jumping and killing enemies. The PSP version obviously lacks motion controls, but will take place in some of the same environments and follow the same storyline from the console version. Playerscontinue the saga of Rikimaru and Ayame, elite ninjas who must use their lethal abilities to keep the peace in feudal Japan. At different points in the game, players must take control of either the slow but powerful Rikimaru or the small, agile Ayame. The game is slightly smaller in scope than previous Tenchu titles: there are around 10 missions and 50 side quests to complete.

The most important question looming in our minds is whether Tenchu 4 will see a release in North America or Europe. Ubisoft has announced plans to bring over the Wii version of the game, so chances are good that the PSP could get a release too. With the current lack of titles on offer for the system, we will take any ninja assassination action we can get our hands on.
