Super Stardust Portable on PSN (In Europe ONLY)

We know a lot of our readers have been patiently waiting for this game, and for some of you the wait is finally over. European PSP owners got a big treat this week, as Sony's pint-sized version of their popular shooter arrived on the Playstation Store. Europeans (or those with European PSN accounts) can now download Super Stardust Portable for only £6.29 ($10 USD). North Americans will have to wait for this title, unfortunately. The only update for the PSP this week is a bull riding simulator called PBR Out of the Chute. What is up with that?

Super Stardust Portable got its start on the PS3 as a downloadable PSN game. In the vein of other modern shmups like Geometry Wars, Super Stardust features an obscene amount of enemies on-screen and a dual analog control scheme, where one stick moves the craft and the other directs fire. On the PSP, this is accomplished by using the face buttons. Setting itself apart from other entries in the genre, Super Stardust also features a wraparound spherical play grid, so enemies can and will come from all directions. We love the game and we guarantee that it will be the best $10 spent this month for fans of arcade shooters.
