Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny & Tekken 6 Announced for PSP

Namco Bandai has found a new love and her name is PSP.

Seems like it's been forever since anything worthwhile has come out on the PSP since last we reviewed Resistance: Retribution. In fact you can go as far as to say there are entire months where the PSP sees no major releases.

Things are about to change though -- for the better. Tekken 6 will be ported over to Sony's portable platform. Joining its brother-in-arms is Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny. The producers swear that the latter is not a simple port of Soul Calibur IV, but an entirely new gaming experience. We'll just have to wait to see what they mean.

Tekken 6 will include all the goodies familiar to fans who've bought Tekken: Dark Resurrection on the PSP: ad hoc wireless multiplayer support and an infrastructure mode for uploading and downloading of "ghost" character data. Expect major character customization via fashion apparel collect-a-thons that is all the rage in fighting games nowadays.

Look for Tekken 6 on the PSP to hit North America this Fall.
