Sony revises PSP 2006 shipment numbers

It looks as if sales of the PlayStation Portable are no longer going in the direction Sony had hoped for. Revisions in their 2006 earnings forecast, according to this report, indicate the PSP numbers showing three million less units then previously thought will ship before the end of the fiscal year. Sony is looking at ways to enhance sales of the PSP by examining new "development of software and peripherals".
