Sony PSP number two PDP behind iPod

According to a recent article, the Sony PSP is the number two best-selling portable digital player on the market behind Apple's iPod. One PSP is sold for every 2.3 iPods sold, but is often left off such lists due to its functionality as a game player. In addition, Sony has seen a recent resurgence in the UMD market in Japan thanks to significant price drops, and if similar success with price drops happen in the US, it could give Sony a portable movie distribution model to challenge iTunes.
