Sony Launches Reality Show to Hire Tester

game_tester.jpg

Jobs are scarce these days, and there are even fewer in the glamorous world of video games. Sony is capitalizing on this fact by launching a new "reality" program to find and hire a video game tester. Be warned that it's not the best job in the industry: the hours are long, the demands are high, and the pay is generally at the bottom of the scale. But still, you would be getting paid to play video games, which has to count for something. The planned series of programs will follow a group of select gamers as they face off in a series of elimination challenges designed to test their mental toughness, endurance, and video game knowledge as they compete for a job working as a PlayStation game tester. The winner of the new show gets a job working for PlayStation's Quality Assurance department in San Diego, CA and gets the opportunity to work on upcoming PlayStation games.

Sony has sent out a casting call to all of those who want a chance to compete on "The Tester" show, which you can watch below.
