Sony Announces Digital Comic Reader for PSP

One of the most interesting tidbits to come out of Sony's Press conference in Germany today was the revelation that it will bring a digital comic reader to the PSP this winter. Launching in December, the feature will be content-rich from the very beginning, with Marvel's entire catalog on offer to voracious comic fans. Sony said that the device can display "many different types of content" but that comics would be a first priority.

Ira Rubenstein from Marvel Entertainment took the stage rocking a leather Wolverine jacket in order to make the announcement.

He told a room of journalists that Spider Man, X-Men and Fantastic Four comics would be included in first round. But then he rolled a video revealing much, much more: Captain America, Iron Man, Wolverine, Daredevil, Thor, Bedingfield, and Star Trek were among the titles mentioned.

According to Sony, the service will be updated with new comics releasing every month. This might have been a minor announcement during a conference punctuated with some major megatons, but we have to say that we are genuinely excited to hear more.
