With Virtua Tennis 3 from SEGA due to arrive in Spring as part of SEGA's multi-platform roll out, its great for sports fans to see another tennis title from NAMCO Bandai being served up this summer.

Smash Court Tennis 3 from NAMCO will follow their first their first two of the game on the PS1 and PS2.

"We are thrilled to announce that the next iteration of our popular Smash Court Tennis series is set to appear on the PSP system," said Makoto Iwai, Executive Vice President and COO of NAMCO BANDAI Games. "With the franchise's signature gameplay and new enhancements, Smash Court Tennis 3 is the perfect on-the-go package that's made for a jet-setting tennis pro."

The game will feature 15 playable tennis professionals, including the popular and charismatic Rafael Nadal, the indomitable Justine Henin-Hardenne, and of course, the superior Roger Federer. Oh, and it's our guess we'll see some American names in there as well, like Andy Roddick and Serena Williams. The more, the merrier, right?

This handheld tennis title will have the benefit of mini-games, an arcade and exhibition mode, and of course, the very appealing multi-player support via wireless ad hoc play and head-to-head matches with the game-sharing system. Scheduled for this summer, Smash Court Tennis 3 is sure to be a great option for PSP owners who just so happen to be tennis fans...or at least, video game tennis fans.
