Sky video beaming down to PSP

It was bound to happen. From early next year, video-hungry Brits will be able to download PSP-ready movies and TV shows from the satellite broadcaster, Sky. That's not new, we hear you cry. Well it's the first European service with the Sony stamp of approval, which means TV shows on the PSP will be in the highest quality they can be. Details aren't clear yet about price or what resolution the downloaded videos will be in, which is important given that the new slim PSPs will have video out. What we do know is that users will be able to download video straight to their PSP with wi-fi or via their usb-connected PC. So will people buy video when they can already convert their own? Possibly. Remember that the iTunes store sold over 1 million video downloads in its first 19 days of offering a similar service for the iPod.
