Silverstar's Empire Interactive Introduces "FlatOut: Head On" for Sony's PSP

Latest Installment of the Multi Award-Winning Series, "FlatOut: Head On," Revs Up for European Launch
Empire Interactive PLC, the international developer and publisher of interactive entertainment software and a unit of Silverstar Holdings revs up its multi award-winning FlatOut series with the introduction of "FlatOut: Head On," the most destructive racing game for the Sony PSP(R) (PlayStation(R) Portable). Empire plans to launch "FlatOut: Head On" in Europe in early 2008, followed by a North American release.
Destined to continue the worldwide success of the FlatOut series, "FlatOut: Head On" takes advantage of the PSP's recently enabled faster processing power and the instant pick up and play arcade style. It boasts the most four-wheeled mayhem ever seen on PSP, with no less than nine different game modes, including carnage challenges, full career, destruction derbies, multiplayer party mode and the bone-crunching ragdoll stunt mode.
"This is the first time the FlatOut series has been brought to the PSP and the results are stunning," said Rob Noble, Empire's European marketing manager. "The developers have taken all the intense racing mayhem of FlatOut and crunched it all into the PSP. This game will raise the bar for handheld arcade racing games and pushes the PSP to its limits."
Clive Kabatznik, CEO of Silverstar Holdings, added, "'FlatOut: Head On' is another major step forward in our plan to maximize product potential across all game consoles and leverage the power of Empire's unique European distribution network. Following its launch in Europe, we naturally will bring it to North America, where it, like the others in the series, is destined to be a huge success."
The FlatOut physics engine delivers levels of extreme racing that have yet to be seen on the PSP. Get ready for head on destruction that could leave the track, your car and even you in a million pieces. Persistent objects like fallen rocks, shopping trolleys and car parts remain on the track from one lap to the next, creating additional obstacles to avoid. The more carnage you create, the more points you score, though it also means the more problems you will face. However, using this to your advantage will get you even more bonus points by wrecking other vehicles throughout the race. With multiplayer WIFI and party gaming modes from wheel to wheel challenges, demolition derbies and the fans' favorite, the rag doll stunts, the only reason you will stop is if you have no wheels left.
