Ridge Racer 2 Revving Up in Japan

IGN today brought word to Ridge Racer fans (at least in Japan anyhow) that an article in Famitsu contains some of the first details on Ridge Racer 2, set for a 9/14 Japanese release. In the Famitsu article, Namco provides details on features like the return of the nitro system, drift-based racing the "highest number of courses yet seen". No word on whether or not this game will hit American shores.
