Resistance Retribution Will Support DualShock 3

One of the longest gripes of PSP owners has been the lack of a second analog stick on the handheld.
Now, Sony is set to remedy the situation with a software workaround that allows PS3 owners to use wireless DualShock 3 controllers to play PSP titles on the big screen. Of course, this technology kind of kills the whole "portable" aspect of the PSP, but if it means rumble AND dual analogue support, we are totally game.

The first game to make use of this "PSP Plus" technology is Resistance: Retribution. The third-person actioner is the perfect platform to be given this treatment, even though Sony Bend have proven themselves adept at using the limited PSP controls in previous games. By connecting the PSP to a large-screen display and the PS3 simultaneously, gamers will be given the option to enable dual analogue controls in-game. This will diable the aim-assist feature in the game and allow players to re-map control however they wish. All of this sounds unbelievably awesome, and we can't wait to see this functionality exported to other PSP titles that would benefit from the more traditional controls. Hopefully, if this feature proves popular, Sony will finally add dual analog controls in the next model of the PSP.
