In Joystiq's hands-on impression of Sony's new PSP Slim and Lite, it is shown that the PSP Slim is running firmware 3.60. One of the features uncovered in this impression is that this firmware adds a data-caching ability so that the UMD data can be temporarily saved on the PSP's main memory, helping to alleviate the use of the battery of the PSP, lengthening battery life, and helping games load faster. No information has been released on when this will be available for download.
