PSP Official Firmware 6.40?

According to some sources out there on the interweb, PSP Official Firmware 6.40 should be coming pretty soon. The source seems to be a sighting on the Japanese release Gundam Memories Tatakai no Kioku PSP Game.

Here's some more info from our friends at PSPCustomFirmware:

PSP Official Firmware 6.40 was found on a new Japanese release Gundam Memories Tatakai no Kioku PSP Game. There is a screenshot which seem to confirm that PSP Firmware is already released in certain Japanese games but still have not been confirm if any US PSP Game carry the new PSP Official Firmware 6.40 update on it. However, with the release of PSP Official Firmware 6.40 in Japanese game, it might be possible that we should be able to see a new PSP Firmware update pretty soon from Sony. When the update is release we will let you know and post the new update here for any users that will want to upgrade or could download it via Sony Official PlayStation Site. Currently we do not know what features will be available on this release. However, We do know as with any PSP Firmware release that this PSP Firmware 6.40 will include some security fixes. But who know what Sony PlayStation have under their sleeves for the release of PSP Firmware 6.40. Only time will tell. So does this mean if it's release that we will see a PSP Custom Firmware 6.40 ? Who know with PSP Developers creating a new PSP CFW when the official one is release we most likely see a PSP CFW 6.40 in the works. So which Custom Firmware developers will release a PSP CFW 6.40. May PRO Firmware with PSP CFW 6.40 PRO-A ?, Total_Noobs CFW 6.40 TN-A HEN or Neur0n with PSP CFW 6.40 ME ? who know but soon we will find out. So keep your eyes out for all the latest information on PSP Firmware 6.40 and Custom Firmware 6.40 when they become available to the homebrew community.
