PSP Graduate Project Exposes Hot Spots

collectic-t.jpg

So if you're looking for a new way to enjoy your PSP's wireless features, graduate student Jonas Hielscher has worked up a new game which you might want to check out. CollecTic lets players search for different WLAN access points " to collect them and to combine them in a puzzle in order to get points". Hielscher designed the game to help people discover the "hidden infrastructure of wireless network coverage" through audio and visual feedback. When a access point is found, its size on screen is determined by the point's signal strength. The game, which makes use of firmware version 2.0 and above, looks like it will be available for download soon. [via Kotaku]
