It looks as if Sony is getting set to launch a movie download service for the PlayStation Portable which they hope will rival the Apple iTunes Store, according to a Financial Times news report. This service, which would launch in the first quarter of next year, would "allow PSP owners to download a film from the internet to a PC and then to transfer a single, legal version of the film to a Sony device" and let them store it on a Memory Stick. Sony is reportedly in talks with "Amazon.com and film download sites such as Movielink and CinemaNow".
