PSP Game Makes Top Ten in August

Can you guess which PSP game was the best seller for the system in August? Square Enix promised that it was going to be a hit, and it is: Dissidia: Final Fantasy squeezed into a respectable seventh spot on the North American software sales charts for the month of August. The big winner for the month was Electronic Arts, whose latest installment in the popular Madden franchise dominated on both platforms at retail. Eidos, ahem, Square Enix also had a hit on their hands with the excellent Batman: Arkham Asylum. But Sony's PSP proved that it is still relevant, by posting respectable hardware numbers and grabbing a spot in the software charts, too. With a huge lineup of PSP games coming in holiday 2009, we are sure to see the handheld in the top ten during the coming months.
