PSP Dominates Hardware Sales in Japan for Second Week

The weekly Media Create sales numbers are in, and it is another massive victory for the PSP in Japan. Last week, Sony's handheld managed to sell a staggering 150,000 units, bolstered by the release of the PSP 3000. This week, sales remained very strong, although the madness following the release of the new hardware has trailed off somewhat. For the week of October 10 -- 26, the PSP sold more than 60,000 units, easily capturing the top position. Also of note is the poor performance of the PS3, which still trails dead last below the PS2 and even the Xbox 360.

On the software side, there were two PSP titles in the top ten: Bleach: Soul Carnival and For a Hero, You're Pretty Impudent 2.
