Famitsu Magazine sent some ninjas to infiltrate Sony headqarters in Japan, and they were able to bring back these comparison shots depicting the difference between the PSP-2000 series and the upcoming PSP-3000 revision. As we reported earler, the biggest design feature in the new model is a much improved LCD screen, which provides gerater color depth, contrast, and refresh rate over the previous hardware. While it is difficult to really appreciate the differences in a still photo, the images below do strongly suggest that the screen in the PSP-3000 is a major improvement. The device is reportedly covered in an anti-glare surface that significantly helps reduce reflections.
The back of the device has been subjected to minor cosmetic changes, for the better in our judgment.
