Rayman has been one of the beloved franchises in gaming for what seems like forever, and the little dude with no limbs keeps on kicking along, as he is ready for a new 2D side scrolling adventure.

Rayman Origins is set to launch day and date with the Sony PS Vita in the U.S. on February 22, 2012.

Rayman Origins is set-up in a very similar fashion to the PS3 version f the game of the same name, with the biggest addition being that of the inclusion of touch controls.

The PS Vita version of the new adventure is going to allow you to actually zoom in and out of the game in a pinch fashion using the touch-screen of the PS Vita, along with some other cool interactive additions.

The game is set to bring some classic 2D side scrolling to the PS Vita at launch, and the visuals as of right now are looking as polished as we saw on the PS3.

The game is extremely colorful with some great backgrounds, vibrant colors and fluid animations based on every video of the game in action we have seen thus far.

This one looks like the real deal and should be a great pick-up for handheld gamers, as the franchise definitely lends itself well to a handheld, similar to what Super Mario did for the 3DS at launch.

This one is looking to surely be a must-have game on launch day for the PS Vita based on everything we have seen thus far.
