PS Vita Downloads Confirmed to be less expensive than retail in Japan

Uncharted Golden Abyss Cheaper to Download

Something we overlooked to make more explicit in yesterday's post on PS Vita games prices, was the cheaper prices for PS VIta downloads.

Official Japanese pricing has been released for Uncharted: Golden Abyss, confirming that downloads will be cheaper than retail titles in Japan.

The game will cost 5,980 yen (roughly $77.00) at retail, while the downloadable version will cost 4,900 yen (roughly $63.00). Keep in mind that these games will likely be cheaper when they're released in North America, though no official pricing has been announced.

This pricing scheme has currently only been confirmed in Japan, and Sony hasn't released any pricing information for North America.
