PlayStation 3 to start at $499, launches Nov. 17

In addition to the PSP details revealed at this evening's pre-E3 press event, Sony also announced new information relating to the launch of the PlayStation 3. The console will be available November 17, and will be available in two configurations: a $499, 20GB model and a $599 model featuring a 60GB drive. The official PS3 controller was also unveiled, and while it looks quite similar to the controllers for the PlayStation and PlayStation 2, it is wireless, communicating with the console via Bluetooth, and features a six-way motion sensor.
