Pelican Power Bricks overheating, recall issued

The manufacturer of the Pelican Power Brick, Electro Source LLC., has issued a recall of the devices because of a potential overheating problem. The Power Brick's circuit board can overheat, leading to a melting of its plastic cover and can pose a fire hazard. The affected model number, PL-6018, can be found on the back of the unit. Although the company has received more than 140 overheating reports, it has received only one report of fire damage and no injuries have been reported. Consumers are urged to cease use immediately and contact the company via a special recall website.
