Parasite Eve 3rd Birthday Screens

Would you like to know what the newly announced Parasite Eve project is going to look like on the PSP? Of course you would. Square Enix released a handful of new screenshots and a little bit more information about their new game today. Fans have been especially curious to find out which of the first two Parasite Eve games would provide inspiration for this sequel. The first title was a more traditional JRPG, while the second game took the series in a new direction to focus on the survival / horror theme. Interestingly, it sounds like the designers have taken the middle road and decided to combine both the horror and RPG aspects of the first two games in this PSP spin-off. It will be interesting to see how this title comes together, and we will have more news on 3rd Birthday as it develops.

These images, taken from the game's first trailer, show scenes from the explosive intro. We suspect that it will be a while before we get a look at actual gameplay.
