Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine closing shop

Those who get a portion of their PlayStation Portable news fix from the Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine (OPM) in North America will have to turn to other sources starting in 2007 as Ziff Davis and SCEA said they are pulling the plug on the publication. The reason? Online content. SCEA said they will be "focused on delivering content via the PlayStation Network and PlayStation.com website, not discs". The discs they are referring to are of course the monthly discs which came with the magazine that offered content such as high definition downloadable game trailers and demos. This content will now now be available to everyone on the PlayStation.com site and on the PlayStation Network, accessible only through the PS3.
