Neo Geo Classics Land on PSN in December

SNK Playmore, maker of classic games for the arcades and Neo Geo home console, today announced the arrival of Neo Geo Station on PSN to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Neo Geo video game system. The first games will be available for download on December 21st, 2010. The Neo Geo Station will be a continuously growing' library of classic games available via the PlayStation Network for $8.99 per title for PS3 and $6.99 per title for PSP. No matter how strong our nostalgia, we think the pricing is a little bit steep for what are essentially 16-bit games that have not been significantly enhanced. But perhaps those who remember the glory days of arcade gaming more fondly will be willing to pull out their wallets for a few of the titles, listed below.

Since its release in 1990, the revolutionary Neo Geo videogame system has attracted millions of fans worldwide with its unforgettable library of arcade classics. In commemorating the 20th anniversary of the legendary Neo Geo arcade machine, SNK has updated its games for the PS3 and PSP systems with VERSUS and/or CO-OP Play so players all over the world can compete against each other via the PlayStation Network (PSP versions will be compatible with Ad-Hoc Mode only). SNK is also adding a variety of features both hardcore fans and a new generation of gamers will be sure to appreciate.

The first 10 game titles on Neo Geo station will be available on December 21, 2010 for the PS3 and will include Fatal Fury, Metal Slug, and The King of Fighters '94". Continuing in 2011, SNK will offer the PSP versions of the other eight game titles as well as a wide variety of other games that made the Neo Geo world-famous in the 90s.

Here is the complete launch title list for NEOGEO Station:

* FATAL FURY (PSP 12/21)
