My PSP & I : Old Friends Reunited

psp300[1].jpg

The little PSP is like an old trusted friend with me owning it more for as an add on to the PS3 than anything else. However without realizing I am swamped with some fulfilling titles which have dragged me kicking and screaming away from my PS3.

If you get chance or for any reason missed these the first time round, search these games out as they are dirt cheap either in the Pre Owned Section of your local games store of check out the predictable EBay for a bargain. Adventure hats at the ready, give them some of your time:

Killzone: Liberation

A Great Twist on the Kill Zone Franchise, the 'Top Down' third person view is a great way to view the aggressive and charred world. A must of fans of the series as it's so much fun!

Resistance: Retribution

The old faithful that sits so close to Kill Zone its almost my favourite FPS. It's such a close second to Killzone but still, what an awesome game. Retribution is varied and challenging and in some cases feels like it fills the PSP.

God of War: Chains of Olympus

Viewed by many as the best in the series, words pretty much fail to describe how good this game is. I would highly suggest you get the game owned and completed before its eclipsed by the almighty looking 'Ghosts of Sparta'.

Metal Gear Solid: Acid and Acid 2

Turn based Metal Gear Card Game. Sounds silly? Trust me, once you start and get used to methodical style game play and the fact that Snake looks half bear half wolf, you'll be impressed and discover several hours have passed. A great, twist on the series and personally I would love to see a third appear on the PSN.

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops and Portable Ops Plus

Very satisfying would be how I would describe these games as they were always what I
wanted. I loved Acid 1 and 2 but I always wanted a fully fledged Metal Gear Escapade.
These are very well delivered and offer some further insight into the various characters and circles you encounter. See them, buy them as they will eventually do 'Subsistence' and be revered in the same way as 'Chicken Teeth'.

Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel

I won't give away too much, but this is more of a getting to know them type of title. Hearing thoughts and abstract levels. Check this out with an open mid. It's a strange one but a great one.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker

A Modern Masterpiece. Still too new to be a bargain, this was a day one purchase and I am staggered at the quality. Its a must for PSP owners. Don't be surprised if something is
mentioned at the years TGS in connection with this game. Just a hunch I have. [Expect to
see my full and frank review very shortly peeps.]

Gran Turismo PSP

A proper hand held racer with pedigree. It's more of an arcadey take as oppose to a serious simulation, but a cracking effort all the same. As it stands I would say the greatest racer on the PSP.

Little Big Planet PSP

Wow, its like they took a scoop the PS3 game and added the trimmings. Brilliant and one of few games that actually makes you smile. If I ruled the world everyone would have a copy of this game with a PSP with them as if nothing else it lifts you as its such an honest, original and well presented game. Sack Boys and Girls at the ready! This game is nothing short of genius.

Invizamals

This one is awesome. If you remember Pokemon. This is that idea re invented. You have a camera and a trap. Then off you go on your quest to find and capture INVIZIMALS. They are like little Pokemon/Digimon esque monsters that all have different character, personality, attacks, defences, looks - I mean the depth to this game is amazing, I thought this was for kids, ahem, maybe it is, but I think it's a great game and a nice step away from the realism of the other titles out there. This and LBP are the front runners where Gamey Games are concerned.

If you see this game, erm try and catch it as its loads of fun. Should you have any additions you would like to add, or give me the nod
with please, feel free to comment my friends.

*Chicken Teeth are very hard to find ;-)
