More Details on 10 Free Game Offer

European customers who buy a PSP Go, or who've bought one since April 1, 2010 are entitled to 10 free games, Sony has announced. Based on our quick math, it represents about €250 in value, making the PSP go hardware itself practically free. This incentive is only available to gamers in Europe and the UK for now, but may be extended to North America if the Sony judges it to be a success. Originally, we reported that customers would have a choice from among a wide number of games, but it looks as though the 10 titles have been fixed by Sony. We now have some additional details about exactly which games are included.

The titles are a mix of previous bundled games and special offers: Sony will contribute Gran Turismo, LittleBigPlanet, Motor Storm: Arctic Edge, Wipeout Pure, and Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice to the pack. Third-party titles will include EA's FIFIA 2010 World Cup, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines, and one as-yet unannounced game.

So far it looks like a pretty good deal that is aimed at Sony's core audience. one potential problem with this offer is that many existing PSP owners will have already played many of these titles. It would have been nice to see some additional genres represented in the list, to attract other types of gamer. How about a good puzzle game or an RPG, Sony?
