Monster Hunter Solid Crossover Continues in MHP3

Metal Gear Solid featured a number of tie-ins with other company's products. In fact, we weren't particularly happy with Kojima for spilling Mountain Dew and Doritos all over our beloved Metal Gear franchise. But one collaboration we actually really enjoyed was between Konami and Capcom. Evidently, the Konami developers also play a lot of Monster Hunter, because they added a special Monster Hunter-themed area to the stealth action game.

Now, Capcom is set to return the favor in their highly anticipated upcoming release, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd. The publisher revealed this week that it is planning a special downloadable quest for the game after it is released. As a reward for successfully completing the challenge, players will be given some brand new outfits for their characters. The quest rewards will include a Big Boss outfit for female characters, a snake outfit for male hunters, and sneaking suit & bandanna for your felyne companions. The clothing won't have any effect on the performance of your hunter, but the felyne kit may have a (so far unannounced) impact on gameplay. Here's hoping they'll be able to sneak right up and snatch those Rathalos eggs without waking the sleeping beast.
