MGS: Peace Walker Contains Epic 40 Hours of Gameplay

In a time when console games have been suffering from shorter and shorter single player campaigns, the handheld PSP might actually deliver the most bang for gamers' buck. Kojima's latest entry in the Metal Gear Solid saga contains a whopping 40 hours of gameplay, Famitsu magazine reports. This is a far cry from the mere 10 hours of single player story contained in Metal Gear Solid 4, and a definite improvement on the latest Splinter Cell game, which contians less than 6 hours of single player excitement.

Its not just the length of the game that Famitsu loved, either. The traditionally tough review mag actually awarded MGS: Peace Walker a perfect score of 40 points. This is the first time in 2010 that any game has been given a perfect score, but Kojima is no stranger to the honor -- MGS4 also got the full 40 points (and it had only what, like 4 hours of actual playtime? Zing!).

Famitsu's reviewers said that they loved the plot line, as well as the cooperative elements and new balloon system that insert completely new elements to the standard stealth gameplay.

MGS: Peace Walker is due to arrive in North America on June 8th, 2010. But for now, check out this fabulous trailer full of interesting tidbits.
