Massive Leak at Sony Qore Reveals PSP Go!

psp_go_original-icon.jpg

The E3 predictions of gaming press outlets and industry analysts were proven correct today as footage from Sony Qore was leaked onto the web. The video shows off the new PSP Go handeld console, and mentions some big game surprises as well: Metal Gear Solid PSP, Gran Turismo, Jak & Daxter and more. Hideo Kojima is going to be disappointed if this leak stole the thunder from the big Metal Gear announcement he and Konami were planning.

The new device looks quite impressive, along the lines of prototype images of the PSP2 that were already circulating on the net. Other than the sliding screen, 16GB of on-board flash and downloadable distribution, the PSP Go appears to be fully backwards-compatible with the current PSP 3000 model. In fact, Sony spokesman even confirms during the interview that the company will keep both devices on the market at the same time. [Update: We now have official PSP Go specs and some close-up pictures to peruse]

I can't wait to get mine. Sony really is taking the handheld market by storm again. I think everybody has been slipping on psp since the beginning. I like how sony continues to add features that seperates it from the plain handheld consoles. Not bashing the nintendo handheld it's for kids. All the PSPgo specs really are impressive to me. The sliding faceplate really makes it easy hide all the gaming components. So it really doesn't have the appearance of just gaming unit. 16gb of memory for music, movies and games. I am ready to get mine now. To add the icing to the cake BLUETOOOTH. Sony I am sold again. All I need know is when the accessories are coming out. Sony Number one supporter.

whoo!

Hey guys, i have seen this in germany last week (GamesCom) and noticed that there's no umd driver. It looks great and the analog stick is a lot better (more confortably positioned and less stiff), but if u wanna play your old umd games u have to stick with the older psp-s. You can only download games from psnetwork for this baby...
