Loco Roco 2 Coming in February 2009

This December has been pretty rough for PSP owners in North America. Without a single hit game release in sight, many have left their PSP units to gather dust while they play home console releases or (gasp!) even DS titles. It seems as if Japan has had all of the fun this year. With addictive games like Patapon 2 and Loco Roco 2 already on shelves in that country, gamers have had no reason to put down their handhelds at all.

Sony hopes to change all of that in 2009, and so far the upcoming game release schedule confirms their promise. Newly added to the list of PSP games coming in 2009, Loco Roco 2 has been given a firm release date in North America. The rolly-polly puzzle platformer will hit shelves here on February 10th, 2009.

Loco Roco 2 continues the basic gameplay that was established in the first game. This time, however, the developers have added a bunch of different Locorocos, each with its own unique properties. Many of the settings remain the same, with several new locations added. The levels included in Loco Roco 2 are: BuiBui Fort, MuiMui Home, The flower garden (Franzea), The big mountain (Perculoka), The ice mountain (Shamplin), The tropical island (Tropuca), The land of stars (Chapo-Wahr), The spooky land (Dolangomeri), The sunny land, (CaloCaro), The ancient ruins (Jaojab), The large tree (Yamboona Tree), and the mushroom forest (Kelapton).
