Jak and Daxter: Last Frontier Announced

Rest assured PSP fans, this announcement was no April Fools joke. Our favorite Heroes Jak and his mischievous sidekick Daxter are getting back together… and for the first time-ever they’ve joined forces on the PSP. The new portable entry in the series will be dubbed Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier and it is due in shops later this autumn. The duo will once again travel across mysterious lands and even take to the sky on a mission to save their planet from destruction. In an interesting move, Sony will also release the game simultaneously on the PS2 console, continuing an established pattern of dual releases. We might be slightly biased here at PSP World, but we think the handheld version will be the best pick of the two.

Picking up from where the original Jak and Daxter trilogy left off, Jak and furry friend Daxter team up with their friend Kiera on her quest to become a Sage and save their world from the threat of darkness. As the environment of their planet slowly dies, our two worldly heroes embark on a mission to protect their world from the threat of “dark eco”.

Beginning on foot, you’ll be limited to running and jumping across undiscovered lands, before taking flight in one of five different aircraft. Blast airborne enemies and battle sky pirates with your powerful Gunstaff – a brand-new weapon that can transform into other new weapons.

I read this on the gamespot "Coming Soon" list. So, I think, I may be wrong on this, but it's due out on November, 9th.
