Impossible Mission classic blast from the past

System 3 has confirmed that their new remake of the classic Epyx Commodore 64 title, will now have new graphics, 3D objects, new sound effects and music. The game also includes three characters to choose from, a tutorial mode and three other game modes. As a special feature, the PSP version allows players to send a full copy of their game to a friend by wireless.

System 3 plans to keep most of the classic's fundamentals intact. As a top secret agent you must attempt to thwart evil genius professor Elvin Atombender's tampering with National Security Computers.

You do this by infiltrating the professor's base and navigating its many lifts and platforms, while collecting parts of the system's password and avoiding being zapped by deadly roving security robots. And you do this against a strict time limit, obviously. It's not called Moderately Difficult Mission, after all.

Release is expected during Q2 2007.
