How Much Cash Will You Spend On The Sony PS Vita Launch

The Sony PlayStation Vita is getting ready for its launch on February 22, 2012, and there are already several games, and accessories confirmed for launch day. Just how much cash will you be spending on launch day though for the PS Vita?
The Sony PS Vita itself is going to cost you either $249.99 or $299.99 depending on which version you decide to go with.
The regular $249.99 version is going to feature standard Wi-Fi connectivity, while the $299.99 version is going to be 3G enabled.
For the purpose of this analysis, we can assume that the majority of gamers are going to be purchasing the $249.99 version of the PS Vita since it is certainly more of a gaming console than a cell phone.
We will round up so the Sony PS Vita console itself will run you $250.
Taking into account accessories, you would have to assume that the majority of people who plan on spending $250 on a handheld are going to want to get a nice case for, probably $20, bringing our new total up to $270.
A memory card is surely next on the list of purchases for any Sony PS Vita gamer out there, especially now that we know that for many of the games, a memory card is going to be required to even play, add $30 for a memory card bringing the total up to $300.
Most importantly, you then have to think about the games and what you are going to be picking up on launch day.
The majority of gamers will purchase between 3 - 5 games when a new console is released, we will take the lower option of 3 games, taking into account gamers may be more conservative on what they buy due to the handheld's price tag.
The first must-buy is certainly going to be Uncharted: Golden Abyss, which will run $40. The other 2 additions could vary from ModNation Racers: Roadtrip, to Little Deviants, Ridge Racer, Hot Shots Golf, and several others. With 3 games, that adds $120 on top of our budget, bringing the total up to $420.
What we have learned here as we here is that for the console, with basic accessories and 3 launch games, you are looking at $420 on launch day for the Sony PS Vita.
That is how we see the launch of Sony's handheld in terms of taking a bite out of your bank account. What we want to know though is what your plans are. What are our readers planning on purchasing on launch day? Will you go with a bundle, or go it alone buying your own games and accessories?
