Grab the Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce Demo

If the success of the Monster Hunter series has taught developers one thing, it is the popularity of 4-player questing on the PSP handheld. A number of developers have stepped up to the plate with their own cooperative multiplayer games, and the latest one to hit North America is Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce. This title will be available in shops on May 1st, 2009, but gamers can already pick up a demo via the Playstation Store.

The new game differs significantly from previous Dynasty Warriors titles (all 180 of them) in that it places an emphasis on over-the-top boss battles and more finely tuned character building. No longer are levels just endless arrays of randomly-generated enemy pions sitting around waiting to get thwomped. The enemy will now display a more sophisticated level of intelligence. Capping the end of every stage will be a boss encounter that will demand fast reflexes and effective cooperation between players.

“Being designed exclusively for the PSP has enabled the development team to focus on the strengths of this format and implement a multitude of new ideas and features that really make the most of this hardware.” Said Will Curley, Vice President Sales & Marketing KOEI Ltd “Combine this with the ability to develop your character in so many areas and then team up with your friends and Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce is already well equipped to capture the imagination of RPG fans and action gamers alike.”

I think this game wont hold the traditional fighting like in the past dynasty warriors, but I still think that the monster hunter 4 player thing will be good, the only thing that gets me is why did they add the monster tigers.
