Yes fellow gamers, with the upcoming Games Convention and a host of other events popping up around the globe, we're now smack bang in the middle of the annual gaming calendar. For those of you who can't wait for the big ones, Imperial College London is doing its bit by hosting Game 07 this Thursday. According to the schedule, this year's guest speakers boast an impressive line up including Lionhead (Peter Molyneux), Frontier Developments (David Braben), Introversion (Mark Morris and Chris Delay), and Criterion/EA (Richard Parr). With a look at both tech and design solutions, the focus is on the collaboration between industry and academia. Here's an extract from the press release:
"The Games and Media Event aims to bring together people from industry and academia in order to discuss some of the technical problems and solutions within the entertainment industry. This year's event will consist of a day of talks, demonstrations and poster presentations intended to inspire discussion and collaboration between industry and academia."
Oh, and shouldn't forget to mention it's free.
