This portable mech combat game is a continuation of the popular console franchise. Player construct customized mechs to do battle in a single-player campaign mode or multiplayer arena. The game provides over 500 mecha parts to build your own AC unit, including some popular parts from past Armored Core games. Be careful though - a new addition in this PSP title is the ability for parts to break down. The single-player campaign features a branching story and multiple endings, awarded depending on how well you perform. Using the ad-hoc wireless feature, players can connect with their friends for intense 4-way battles in a variety of challenging environments.

Another cool feature is that if you own any of the previous PSP Armored core games, the game save from Armored Core 3 Portable and Armored Core Silent Line Portable can be transferred to this game.
